CUCO Currency Converter ("CUCO", "the app") is developed and published by
mochitg45. This policy explains what the app does and does not do with
your information.
CUCO has no accounts and no server of its own. Everything you create in the
app — your saved currency list, rate alerts, trips and expenses, and your
settings — is stored only on your device. We cannot see it, and it is never
uploaded to us.
The app does two things that involve the network: it downloads exchange rates,
and it shows advertisements. On Android it also sends usage statistics to Google Analytics for Firebase.
The following stays on your phone and is never transmitted to us:
each expense
Uninstalling CUCO deletes all of it. There is no server-side copy, so there is
nothing for us to delete on request and no account to close.
To show current rates, the app requests publicly available data from:
api.coingecko.com) — Bitcoin, gold and silver pricesapi.frankfurter.dev) — historical rates for the chartsThese are ordinary web requests. They do not carry your name, your device
identifiers, or anything you have entered in the app. As with any internet
request, the provider necessarily receives your device's IP address and can see
which currencies were requested. Each provider handles that under its own
privacy policy.
CUCO displays banner advertisements supplied by Google AdMob. To serve and
measure ads, Google's advertising SDK collects information from your device,
which typically includes your device's advertising identifier, IP address,
general device information, and your interactions with the ads shown.
This collection is performed by Google, not by us, and it is governed by
Google's own policies:
https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites
On Android you can limit this at any time in Settings → Privacy → Ads, where
you can reset or delete your advertising ID.
We do not receive your personal information from Google. We see only aggregate
reporting, such as how many ads were shown.
The Android version of CUCO uses Google Analytics for Firebase to count how the app is used: which screens are opened (for example Convert, Rates or Budget), how often the app is opened, and the device model, operating system version, app version and approximate country. It does not record amounts you type, your currency list, trips, expenses or anything else you enter.
This data is collected by Google on our behalf and governed by Google's Privacy Policy. We see only aggregate reports and use them to decide what to improve.
CUCO requests:
Notifications are generated on your device; no notification content is sent
to a server. You may decline, and the rest of the app works normally.
CUCO does not request location, contacts, camera, microphone, or access to
your files. It does not read or store any payment or banking details, and it
cannot move money.
CUCO is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information
from children.
Exchange rates in CUCO are provided for reference only. They come from free
public data, fiat rates update approximately once per day, and they will differ
from the rate a bank, card issuer or exchange actually gives you. Do not rely on
CUCO for financial, trading or investment decisions.
If this policy changes, the "last updated" date above will change with it, and
the current version will always be available at this address.
