Privacy Policy

This policy explains what happens to information when you play Decant: Water Sort Puzzle ("the game"), published on Google Play for Android and on the App Store for iPhone, under the identifier com.sortlab.watersortpuzzle on both.

The short version

The game has no accounts, no sign-in and no server of its own. It never asks for your name, email address, phone number or location, and nothing you do in the game is sent to us.

iPhone: the game contains no advertising or analytics software and sends no data anywhere. Nothing leaves your device.
Android: the only data leaving your device is what Google's advertising service needs in order to show ads, described below.

Information the game stores on your device

Your progress is saved in the app's own private storage on your phone:

the level you have reached, and the puzzle you are part-way through
your coin balance
whether sound is switched on
the date you last claimed the daily bonus, and on Android, how many bonus videos you have watched today

This stays on your device. It is not transmitted to us and we cannot read it. Uninstalling the game deletes it permanently.

Information collected by advertising (Android only)

The iPhone version of the game shows no ads and contains no advertising software, so nothing in this section applies to it. If that changes, this policy will be updated before the iPhone version does.

The Android version shows ads through Google AdMob. To do that, the AdMob software in the app collects certain information and sends it to Google and its advertising partners:

We do not receive any of this ourselves. It is handled by Google under its own policy, which you can read at policies.google.com/privacy. How Google uses data from apps that use its services is described at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Your choices

Reset or delete your Advertising ID (Android). On most Android phones: Settings → Google → Ads. You can reset the identifier, or delete it so apps can no longer use it to personalise ads.
Turn off ad personalisation (Android). The same screen has a switch for this. Ads will still appear, but they will not be tailored to you.
Remove everything. Uninstalling the game deletes all locally stored progress.

Children

The game is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. It is intended for players aged 13 and over.

Security

On Android, data sent by the advertising service travels over encrypted connections. Since the game itself holds no accounts and stores nothing on a server, there is no account of yours for us to lose.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted at this address with a new date at the top. Material changes will also be noted in the game's Google Play and App Store listings.
